Very happy with this projector!
I was looking for a projector to use in presentations where I often switch between DVD clips and PowerPoint. This machine allows me to do it very quickly and almost seemlessly by having the DVD player in the projector. In the past, you would have to stop the PowerPoint by going off the slide show mode and then start the DVD back up from the computer which wasted time, disrupted the flow of what I was saying and looked unprofessional to the audience. Now I simply toggle between sources and it works great! It does exactly what I wanted, with both excellent picture quality and very good sound. I connect a Bose single speaker to it (through the headphone outlet - the only way to have external sound output) for an incredible quality presentation. It is larger than most other portable models, but for what I want it to do, the extra weight and size doesn't matter. Exceeded expectations
I purchased this item for company use based upon the reviews I read here. This unit exceeded our expectations. Keep in mind that I am reviewing a new product (1 month old) so I cannot speak to durability. However, the unit seems well built by today's standards and everything worked well out of the box.The upsides that we have so far observed are as follows:The unit was very easy to set up. It needs almost no preparation to start showing DVDs. As for connecting our computers, I used the provided VGA cable and it immediately recognized my computer.The picture is amazingly clear, even in a lighted room. (We were not aware that this is an HDMI capable unit. We will not necessarily be using that function anytime soon, but it is worth noting).The DVD plays nicely and is easy to control. Greater Expectations
.I work in an office where 11 of us live and die by our presentations. We train, distribute information, do planning sessions and communally edit documents. We do this with 14-plus offices in four states.In one of our 100+ people field review sessions early in 2010, lack of projectors at field sites was identified as a weakness.
